Fortunately I did find a little rural route gas station in the middle of nowhere to fill up (FYI little RR gas stations are more expensive). It is so nice to know that I am not the only one. For the first two years here I refused to drive on the hwy because I couldn't figure them out (and people aren't so great at moving over so you can merge into traffic). I have some great little "rat mazes" around the city and country back roads to get me where I need to go. lol Teresa @ http://twistfullyyours.blogspot.ca/https://www.blogger.com/profile/00926189726350588545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480277076509789170.post-74303053683713975852012-11-27T08:21:59.408-04:002012-11-27T08:21:59.408-04:00I should have just kept going then. I'm not sure a road trip for the two of us together is a great idea or not. hahaha I do like getting "lost" when I'm not in a hurry to find beautiful old houses or hidden away communities.Teresa @ http://twistfullyyours.blogspot.ca/https://www.blogger.com/profile/00926189726350588545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480277076509789170.post-62668660046613352102012-11-25T07:02:21.228-04:002012-11-25T07:02:21.228-04:00I can relate very well to your post... I have abso...I can relate very well to your post... I have absolutely no sense of directions and living in the country you get me on the Highways and Lord knows where I may end up. I have the Halifax airport as my guide so if I get lost I look for that sign and start from there...I have to make certain I have a full tank of gas when I leave for the city:) I have enjoyed meeting all the Nova Scotian Bloggers... joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04154404312199503667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480277076509789170.post-8791690973614439172012-11-24T11:49:53.973-04:002012-11-24T11:49:53.973-04:00It is so often the small stuff that drives me nuts...It is so often the small stuff that drives me nuts - not being able to find my glasses (I have an R on my license so need them to drive), missing a receipt so I can take an item back to the shop... But getting lost is my forte - I have called work to ask them where I am - as I watch corn blowing around in the field and have no vision of where the school I am headed to is located. I ask for dummy directions - if I see this I have gone too far. But in a funny way when I am not time pressured I like taking a different route (I mean the kind you take when you are lost). I see something new. Now if you were heading up to Truro - and got as far as Antigonish there is a lovely quilt store called the Harbour Quilt Company - 330 Main Road. But that is a long way from the valley!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05628396932587842078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480277076509789170.post-16262897942809462552012-11-23T18:59:01.151-04:002012-11-23T18:59:01.151-04:00I think we did the drive too much this summer back...I think we did the drive too much this summer back to Ontario and over to PEI. lol The route is permanently ingrained in my brain. I was even taking note of the different landmarks...the airport and started repeating Tatamagouche...its fun to say. lol Not once in all that did I think...I'm on the wrong road! hahahaTeresa @ http://twistfullyyours.blogspot.ca/https://www.blogger.com/profile/00926189726350588545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5480277076509789170.post-59219277572816213682012-11-23T18:44:11.911-04:002012-11-23T18:44:11.911-04:00OMG! Well, it was a beautiful day for a drive. Did you check out the Aurifil? The bloghop has been great. Lots of blogs to visit. My blog has had lots of new visitors this week. Love it!
