Snow Day = Work in Progress Wednesday

We were hit with a snow storm last night.  That meant a chance for my girls to sleep in a little and a chance for me to play catch up.  I also introduced my oldest daughter to Pinterest...heaven help me!

I am participating in an online quilting bee hosted by the fabulous Mrs. Pickles Garden.  Pop on over and check out her blog.  I am not even going to complain about the amount of snow in our driveway after looking at her photos in SK!  Spring is here....right???!!!!  I am in the We Bee Canadian group.

I'm really sorry about the quality of the photos.  To be honest, I'm not sure why they are coming out blurry.  A tad frustrating but at least they give you the idea of what I have been up too.

January Block ~ Bow Tie
The theme was a garden.

As you know February was a tad insane for me.  Today I was able to do my two Feb blocks and the two March blocks.  Yippee!!!!

February Block ~ String (Kaledioscope) Block
Gray, Blue and Lime Green

March Block ~ Wonky Log Cabin
The inspiration came from Drunk Love in a Log Cabin (I love the name)by Denyse Schmidt.
Red, Teal/Turquoise

I will be making more of the Wonky Log Cabins for myself!

Bedroom Reno Update...We hung a new light fixture in the blue room.  I thought I had a photo but alas I didn't get one.  Probably not a great idea to get one now (I may have a very upset girl if I flick the light on! lol)

  1. Well my daughter loved her snow day and is hoping that Halifax is hit again tonight. I suspect the pjs will be on backwords and she will do her snow dance. HS kids don't have a PD day. Me - I am not wanting anymore snow - infact I am lodging a complaint with Mr. Groundhog (aka Shubenacadie Sam). Just because he wants another couple of weeks to sleep is no reason to extend winter.

I love projects like the one you did each month. It is a wonderful way to feel connected to the quilting community. Right now I am working on strips for my quilt bee - finished a strip of sailboats for the theme of sea, now working on snowmen for someone who wants a winter quilt... So much material and not enough time.

  3. No blog - am not organized enough to create one. Laura did not get a snow day so I guess the backward pjs and the dance are not fail safe. Maybe we could meet at Timmy's - it would have to be an evening or weekend. I don't want to broadcast my email or phone number over the internet. Nancy

  4. That would be great. If you go to my profile page you can email me and we can figure something out.
ps....you need to put a spoon under the pillow (or if you not sure, the whole cutlery drawer!...minus the knives...that wouldn't be safe! lol)

  5. Hi Neela....thanks for following me. Things have been pretty busy around here with work and illness galore but I hope to have something to post in the near future =)

I always love to hear what you think about what I am working on. Tell me about what you are working on or have been inspired to start (...or pull out to finish).
